This is why we work so hard – to enjoy life
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille
This restaurant is a great place for meat lover. I won’t say everything is perfect but they are truly great! Definitely a highlight of my stay in Dallas.
The Sunday special pork chop is a real bargain – $25 for a nice and rare warm spinach salad with tasty sauce, a huge and flavorful pork chop that is more than enough to be shared by two mild appetites, and a dessert trio including delicious cheesecake, creme brulee and chocolate truffle. The good thing about the deserts is that they are not too sweet even in my Asian taste.
We also ordered a hot appetizer platter, including calamari, crab meat, fried asparagus and sausage. Calamari is fabulous – crispy yet tender, sausage is nice but it’s just sausage, crab meat and fried asparagus are also good but a bit too heavy for these ingredients, in my opinion.
The medium rare bone-in fillet is an off-the-menu gem and is truly cooked to its perfection. Enjoyed every bite of it. Quite expensive though.
The service is also wonderful. Our waiter patiently explained everything to us and was attentive to every detail. He kindly reminded us that the portion is huge that we don’t actually need to order another side, and happily suggested and boxed up the pork chop and desserts for us. The ambience is just like other classy restaurants (including the paper towel in the bathroom). They are not too strict but watch out the attire before you come.
Last parental reminder: As good as it is, don’t go to these restaurants too frequently – simply not good for your health!
